One of the first questions I have about a security camera is whether it requires use of proprietary software, or whether it can work with any network video recorder (NVR) because it provides ONVIF. The camera's identification information says it provide ONVIF version 21.06, but it is not in the list of compliant devices, at least not under this name. However, it is compliant enough that I can record and do object detection in scrypted-NVR. It is not perfect, because I don't yet have pan and tilt working. The ONVIF Device Manager (ODM) program can operate pan and tilt but doesn't see the video streams because it is looking at the wrong URL. Between the two, I hope I can get it fully working in scrypted without too much hassle.Installation with the Arenti app, which you would do before hooking it up to an NVR, was easy, and the camera works very well with the app.As for the camera itself, I compared it to 2 other 4MP/2K cameras, one from Tapo and one from EmpireTech. Not surprisingly the pictures in good light were quite similar, with the Arenti not suffering from as much oversharpening as the others. I don't yet have a good feel for nighttime performance.I like that the camera can use my 5G Wifi instead of being stuck on the overcrowded 2.4G Wifi.I tried speaker and microphone in the Arenti app, and they worked fine.Overall, seems like a good price for a 4MP pan and tilt camera. It will take some fiddling around to get it to work with non-Arenti software, but at least it can work.

Pros: VERY nice night color vision. Fast phone/camera link. No ads like some other cameras.Cons: Only one phone at a time can view the camera. Which I don't like since I use as a security/business camera.Light stays on in color night vision. Wish it could be switched off. Not all areas need a light.People detection could be better. Not sensitive enough.

Good camera for the price. I like it.The alerts are good. The person detection works great! No alarm every time a car drives by.What I don't likethe motion tracking works but won't recenter after person moves out of view.You check your camera and it will be pointing at its own mount.Pretty major flaw.This is why there is only a 3 star rating.
