I'm 5'6" and about 180 lbs. My usual pant size is 32/30- 34/30. I went with the Medium short and it fits perfectly. If you are deciding to wear thick base layers then definitely size up. I wore thin base layers underneath (wool socks, long underwear, long sleeve tech t, a cotton shirt and hoodie underneath the bib).When I went on the trip the weather dipped to negative temperatures because of wind chill. The bib did a wonderful job keeping me dry and protected from the wind. I would definitely recommend! My only con is the lack of chest pockets.

Bought for my brother he really liked them said they were warm and fit well but after only having them for 2 weeks they began coming apart at the seams in 3 different places.
