I had no idea there were mailboxes out there with so many options and in every architectural style. I was looking for a basic box that wasn’t plastic. Bingo! This is an attractive, utilitarian mailbox that is sturdy and was easy to assemble. Box and post are aluminum. Door and decorative post base are plastic. If you want your street number on the box, you’ll have to purchase adhesive numerals separately; they are not included. Great product and value.

This thing is the entire kit and kaboodle for a fraction of the price. Everything you needed was all in the box besides the cement. There is no need to spend several hundreds of dollars. The pictures do not give the capacity of what this thing can hold justice. It is HUGE! It is SOLID! It was so easy to install. Look no further. Spend no extra. Here is your all in one mailbox my friends.

My kiddos were complaining about our falling apart mailbox. The flag even fell off! So I finally did some looking and decided to purchase the Architectural Mailboxes 7980B-10 Roxbury Mount Mailbox and Premium Steel Post Combo including the address number that goes on top of the box. This is a great improvement over our old one for sure. Here are my thoughts on this combo mailbox:Pros:1) This is a very solid mailbox. The post is fairly thick steel tubing. The bracket that attaches to the post and the mailbox is again a solid steel product that is attached well to the post. The mailbox attaches to the bracket with four good sized bolts so when attached it is not coming back off.2) The mailbox is a large box! Much larger than our old one so it will hold more Amazon products in the box instead of on the dirt by the box! :>)3) The door to the box is held up by a magnet which is nicer than the friction type I have had in the past where you come home and find your box lid open and all your mail is wet from the rain. The magnet holds the door solidly shut.4) There are snap on and screw on plastic parts that cover up all the bolts making the mailbox attractive. Now time will tell if the plastic will hold up on a dirt country road, but for now it really covers all the attachment parts up giving the mailbox a beautiful appearance.5) The directions are easy to follow making it a not so difficult task of putting it together in my living room before placing it in the ground outside. (It was cold outside!)CONS:1) I only have one Con and that is the steel post needs to be about six inches longer. USPS height requirements state that the bottom of the mailbox should be between 41" to 45" from the road surface. With the short post I only had about 6" of post in the ground. I certainly would prefer to get it to 12" or more in the ground. So, I pushed it to the minimum above the roadway and imbedded the post in concrete. It seems to be holding pretty good, but I still wish they sent this with a little more length in the post. One star ding for that.Other than the short post I am very happy with this product. It is very solid and looks great as well. Oh, almost forgot, The address mount required one drill to holes through the top of the mailbox to mount. It did come with rubber washers to keep water from slipping past. They also sent ample numbers for those of us who have a large number with 3 of the same number in the number...If that makes any since! A good product, that I recommend.

Le metal est bien , sauf que la porte ouvre toute seule

This is a really nice mailbox and post. Easy to set up. I put it into the ground using cement. You need to do this. There is one issue I dealt with. The post comes in two halfs. You press one into the other and then connect it with 3 srew bolts. They say not to tighten it too much or you will strip it. I was careful. Within 2 days that connection became very loose so the pole was very wobbly. I got the next size screw bolts and replaced them and used gorilla glue on the bolts. It feels strong now. If it happens again I will pull the top part out and use gorilla glue on it and push it into place. To save you some work I highly recommend using gorilla glue when you first put the two parts together. The I also recommend getting the next size bigger srew bolts and using them with gorilla glue. It comes with size 8 srew bolts and I upped to 10. This will take care of that problem and is worth the small extra effort. The pole and box look great. It is very sturdy. We have the nicest one in the neighborhood. Also, I used 3 inch letters on each side. My house number only has two numbers but I think you could you have 4. I used 2 inch numbers on the front. I hope this helps.
