This does knockoff does not fit the kitchenaid mixer as the original "everdime".You have to trim off the end as it does not fit.Basically used it as a rubber washer.It is also very thick in the head so you have to tighten the screw significantly in order for the head lock mechanism to work, ...which could strip it out.

I was gifted a Kitchen Aid Mixer for my wedding and in the process of moving the receipt was lost. I wanted to return the mixer because it would not lock into place and it would bounce up and down mixing semi-thick foods and was impossible to use for making dough. Saw this product on tik tok and gave it a shot, definitely one of my favorite purchases! It allowed me to lock the head of the mixer and stopped the violent bouncing when making dough! It is important to know, that when you first try to assemble it, it does not look like it would fit, but it does!

My Artisan tilt head mixer has always bounced around as it mixes, which is really annoying. Sometimes the head bounced so much it would unlock by itself even. I was a little skeptical that a little rubber washer (essentially) would fix the problem, but it really does work. Absolutely no bouncing at all now! Installation was very easy, just remove the screw, place the washer, and replace the screw. You MUST recalibrate the height of the mixer blade after this since this is the adjustment screw and there is no way you'll get it perfectly adjusted without going through the dime test (Kitchenaid has some videos on how to do this, it isn't hard). I did not need to trim it or do anything special to get it to work, it worked perfectly as-is. Just make sure to calibrate your mixer, it is super important to get that right.
