Works well for lifting the bed frame to access storage under the bed in our RV. A little hard to get them to move in synchronization, but once you get them moving they will close pretty fast as we have a very heave double mattress on it. Just don’t let go of it but expect the sudden motion on its way closed. Holds it up perfectly to close and access storage compartments. And make sure of your clearances so you do have to drill more holes when you find out the door will only open so far. 😌. Recommend making use of a helper to install.

Like so many other reviews, picking the right size shock is the hardest part. I originally read reviews where customers were picking shocks which were too strong for their application. I do normally tend to overbuild and therefore bought a size down from what I was originally planning to buy. The end result was that I had picked a size shock that worked for my in-progress project, however after adding material to finishing it I had added more weight than the shocks could handle. I admitted this to them and explained my situation. Within hours they responded with photos and clear instruction on how one can measure the weight at the upper mount point to estimate the necessary shocks.The best way to describe working with them was refreshing from many aspects. They were willing to help their customer by understanding the needs of their project, provide clear direction and imagery representing the next suggested steps.My positive experience with their customer service compelled me to prepare a positive review, resonating with so many others.

Bought these because the existing lift for the RV bed deck was too weak after we replaced the mattress. These 55 lb added just the right amount of increased support to stay up. Initially I thought I was going to need to make new mounting holes because the brackets were different and the ball shaped joint on the end of the strut was different than the original. Then I discovered that the ball shaped joints on each end of the strut screwed off and the threaded ends of the new struts were the exact same size and thread as the original struts that were being replaced. Screwed the ends off of the old struts put them on the new ones and reinstalled everything without needing to make any new mounting holes. New struts work great and hold the bed up just fine. Very happy with how simple and quick the installation went and how they work.
