I purchased these strings for the low g string. Left the other original strings in place. Good quality, sounds great, good price. Highly recommended.

I actually bought the wrong size so I’ve not given these a go but I have however used both the high and low G variant of these strings in tenor which I can say work a charm. If you bought a sub £100 ukulele, out of the box just restring it with these and it’ll sing for you.With regards to the wound low G. Personally I love it although if you like that vibrant island sound and you do more strumming than finger style I’d recommend you go for the classic high G.

Habe vor Tagen die Saiten mit tiefem G aufgezogen. Wie in anderer Rezension ist der Saitensatz nach bereits 2 Tagen ziemlich stabil gestimmt. Die Saiten bringen eine andere Seite der Ukulele mit sehr warmen Tönen hervor. Sicher gut, wenn man zwei Ukuleles hat und dann beide Möglichkeiten hat. Die tiefe G-Saite hört sich bei einigen Akkorden sehr, sehr schön an, ist aber auch sehr dominant, so dass bei Akkorden, bei denen die G-Saite eine untergeordnete Rolle spielt, die höheren Töne ein wenig zu kurz kommen.Der Saitensatz mit dem tiefen G ist für mich klanglich eine Ergänzung, vorallemm auch, da dann auch Melodien besser im unteren Bereich gespielt werden können; er wäre für mich aber kein Ersatz für die klassische Stimmung : hohes G-C-E-A.
