I typically love anything Aputure makes and find their products very useful. But this isn't one of them, unfortunately. It's made well and could serve purpose for someone who use the MC pro as a primary content light, but honestly, the diffuse that comes with the MC pro itself offers the same light output. This diffuses does have a better light spread because of it's size but it's a bulky, clunky piece of plastic to travel with. I honestly use the bracket that comes with the diffuse more than the plastic diffuser itself. The bracket allows me to keep an NPF battery mounted to my MC pro which gives me quadruple the amount of use time in the field. 3 stars because of the bracket. Without that... 1 maybe?

The nice thing about this diffuser for the Aputure MC Pro lights, is that you can simply pop it on the front of the light and it stays in place. The diffused light is nice and soft, and spreads evenly. It works well, and softens the images you get nicely. One thing, however, is that I wish there was some other mechanism for mounting on other lights as well, so it could work with other small sized lights that are similar to the MC Pro, which would make this diffuser that much more useful. But as it is, this works great with that light, and it's so simple, I like it.
