I live in an apartment without enough built-in lighting. In the past, this has meant dragging around a large therapy lamp and putting it on the sub-therapeutic setting to use as task lighting in temporary locationsI'm setting up some aquariums, though, and that solution is no longer sufficient for me to be able to see what I'm doing long-term. With such little space, the most helpful thing is wall-mounted lamps that can be adjusted to direct the light where I need it at any given time.I decided to give these a try, and so far I am satisfied with them.Pros:- Relatively adjustable. The lamps can be adjusted sufficiently for me to direct light where it is needed.- Can take smart lights. This means these lights can be used in many different situations.- Unobtrusive design. The white and lamps don't stand out too much on the walls.Cons:- Not the easiest to install. They certainly could also have been more difficult to install, but I would recommend either having two people when putting the lamp on the bracket or being centered in front of the lamp when installing it.- Not the most carefully manufactured. The wooden (or wood-looking?) tops of the shades are not entirely centered on the shades. It's not that big of a deal with wall lamps that are six feet up, though. I'm 5'1" so I'm probably not going to see or be bothered by it.- Does not sit flush on the wall. I'm not sure if this is because of how the wires are situated inside the fixture or because of the bracket construction, but the base plate does rock a bit top to bottom if fussed with.- Require cable channels for a tidy look. This is a problem with plug-in wall lamps in general, but it does need to be planned for.Given the price, I'm considering getting another set of these lamps for my bedroom.
