They are eminently transportable has as they fold up. I have to say that they are firmer than I thought they would be, and so a fall from a height might end up in an injury. It’s too bad you can’t compare the firmness of these type of pants before you buy them.

My granddaughters love this mat! It has been subjected to hundreds of cartwheels and handstands.Has held up very well and folds nicely in the corner of the family room.Also makes a good fort when placed on its side!

We use this for our son who is a toddler right now and we love it. He likes to hang on the end of the stairs so we put the mat down in case he falls and next to the couch which he climbs upon and in case he falls the mat will provide cushion. Great quality also!

Made very well and easy to fold up. My daughter has enjoyed testing her gymnastics skills. We gifted this to her for Christmas. Only complaint and I’m not sure if it’s the seller or Amazon but it wasn’t put in an Amazon box and clearly said tumbling mat on the box. Thankfully my daughter wasn’t home when it was delivered.
