I bought this after a Melin hat did indeed manage to become severely sweat stained. Upon receiving I thought it was maybe made in the same factory and branded differently, but side by side that doesn't appear to be the case. The weave of the fabric and some small manufacturing details are different, and this hat is lighter in weight. Haven't had it long enough to determine if it is sweat-stain proof, but I'd happily buy this brand again for the price relative to the brand it attempts to copy. Feels good, looks good, a fine ball cap. To be fair to Melin, I haven't yet attempted to clean their hat.

Very sturdy and comfortable. I've used it for casual going out as well as for hard labor work, and it does great at absorbing sweat and then being washable (by hand is all I've done). Looks nice as well.

Just got this hat so have not worn it yet.A few things notice right away:1) hat bill is off kilter from center stitching. Saw this complaint on several other reviews too (quality issue?)2) my wide forehead feels tight with the headband/bill shape3) just measured vs my other favorite cap and brim width is about 1/2in smaller on the ankor… so looks a misproportioned for big headed person like me4) surprised was shipped in soft bag (dent left in front dome, will see if comes out after wash)Will wear it some (maybe breaking in will resolve the shape/fit issues) but for sure some of my other hats like Quicksilver felt like more Quality fit out of the box. Or may give it to my kid due to the smaller brim size.But based on initial impression - wouldn’t recommend.

I bought this for travel and to try out the style because I didn't really want to pay the premium for that other brand twice the price. That price seems absurd. Well, the hat has held up, cleans easily, fits great. Looks brand new after at least 6 months. I've backpacked with it, traveled in the islands, done hut-to-hut hikes, lots of golf... lots of activity in short. Take it in the shower after an activity, maybe soap it a little, rinse and let it hang dry. Still looks brand new.
