3 months later, already rusty. Other than that, no complaints.

I like that it mounts easy to the base of my antenna. It's also sturdy enough to keep my antenna somewhat strait going down the highway, yet flexible enough to protect my antenna from low branches or obstructions.

I installed it for a 20 meter ham stick on my pickup truck rack mount. The first time it got bent over it stayed bent and then the whole thing fell apart causing the antenna to go bye bye. $10 dollar spring on a $50 dollar antenna was a bad idea. Don't buy this product. Amazon would not replace my antenna I lost either. I bought it from Amazon 3 years ago but it was still a perfectly good antenna.

The spring is in fact stainless steel, and able to bend a bit. I combined this with a ProStick 4' flexible antenna.Pros: Price point, parts that came with the product, initially worked well for initial SWR readingsCons: top and bottom surface area washers rust causing resistance resulting in higher SWR rating over time (too high is bad).In order to combat this I treated the rust and polished it for clean contact and use a tad of conductive grease which helped it for a while. but eventually rusted again and getting higher SWR readings (which is bad if too high). I ended up ordering a higher quality kettle spring I had like the one on my Beetle that still isn't rusted after years of use. But then repurposed this to hold my off road led whip.

This one came in perfect condition. No Chrome blemishes at all.
