Had to use die smaller than wire size. 00 wasn’t to bad. 0000 ended up bending the tool in a way that the dies would not come out.

Stopped pumping after a few uses. replaced gasket same thing. On top of that every wire I did had to be done one size smaller to actually crimp it to the wire.

It’s exactly the same as many others, but this one comes with a kit and a manual. I use these a lot and the old one’s knob blew out(old yeller)so new orange toy is up. When you get these always test crimp right away because a month later it’s yours. Check the valve closes and opens easily. You shouldn’t have to turn it in hard to seal for the piston to crimp hard. Check that the piston and plunger aren’t dripping after a few squeezes. A tiny bit of oil weeping is normal. Put a dab of grease in the retaining notch at the top of the plunger inside the handle to reduce the sideways force/wear on the plunger bore. You want the 16 ton version for 2/0 and up. The dies are marked in both awg and metric but most sizes can’t do both in the real world so you may need to modify the dies by removing material from both sides of the split line. Remove a little at a time till you get a hex with crisp corners but no or the slightest flashing at the split line. Stick to the same quality brand lugs like Ancor or Selterm for consistency.
