These shock are not for a 2004 Honda Accord. I bought these and found I had to modify the fitment.Seller had a fitment chart says it my 04 Accord, fitment was not even close I have pictures to show you what I had to do to use these shocks. The reason why I didn’t send these back I had an appointment to sell the car and I had payed for 2 day shipping.Anyhow the shock will give you a hard time getting it on the lower fork because the way they are made. You would have to use a small pry bar to widge it open the bottom fork, you will run into the issue of the 14mm bolt that secures it. It is more then a cm off. So in the pictures I will be providing, you will see where I made my cuts. I have professional tools because I build custom cars, for other ppl a dermel with a metal cut blade will do just fine. Note: while cutting with a dremel every 10-15 secs I would like for you to use W-D40 rust type give it a spray to keep it cool. You should not heat up gas that is enclosed inside the shock or they will become useless. You will see in these pictures through the hole in one picture the bump the blocks the 14mm bolt to go through and secure the shock. Then you will see the finished product of my work where you will see the hole is free and clear for the bolt passage. I cut about 1 cm if you notice right under the weld I barely scored the edge of the welds. This should give you the clearance to seat the shock right where you want it to be. You should also see the original KYB shocks base look totally different it’s a lot more narrow.Other things you should know these shocks are not firm enough for me and is below OEM standardsOEM (original equipment manufacturer). The reason I know this, I have worked at all automotive car dealerships I have over 20 yrs experience and I also aid in engineering race car modifications. This seller needs to do more research and not rely on google or car forums information. This is what I tell my customers car forums and all the information found on the internet are there to help you not make the mistake of others. Most ppl can’t build an engine that last more the 6 months, reasons why they don’t have access to a 1/4 million dollar crankshaft and piston weight balance machine. Don’t believe me you will feel the imbalance in your steering wheel when you start your car. I can hear the harmonic sound waves my ears are better then a computer. I been building cars for way too long but I am always willing to learn new tricks. These shock might be ok for a 2004 Acura TL but definitely not for a 04 Honda Accord unless you want to experiment, I regret buying these a big waste of my time. You get what you pay for. I will be contacting Amazon about the incorrect information provided about these shocks.
