These are a blast from the past wine glasses. I was looking forward to receiving these and had plans to use them next season with my Thanksgiving china. Unfortunately, the seam is just too detracting for my special china set. We use them as everyday glassware. I like the design, especially the faceted globe stem. For me, these goblets are overpriced since they have such an unattractive seam.

These goblets are cute, but not of very good quality. The glass is heavy, and you can see the seams and bubbles in it. They remind me of the glasses that gas stations used to give out with fill ups in the 60s. I'll be using mine for water goblets. I like the design and color, but I think they might be worth about half the asking price at the time of this review. I probably wouldn't order these again.

I received these wine glasses the other day, and they are truly stunning to look at, as the color is a rich amber gold color, and they will look amazing on the dinner table. The coloring is exactly as pictured on Amazon. They appear to be pressed glass, as you can see a line where the glass mold fits together. That was one thing I did not like too much, as at first I thought one had a hairline crack in it when it arrived. Each glass, when filled to the absolute top of the rim holds approximately 10 ounces of liquid, so realistically, you can fill the glass with about 8 ounces of liquid maximum to drink. They are a sturdy glass, and not likely to tip or knock over, due to their weight, which if I read the ad right on Amazon, each glass weighs almost a pound. Because of the weight, and the fact that the bowl on the wine glass is not rounded on the base as most wine glasses are, I actually found these glasses a bit uncomfortable to hold, as the stem is not tall either. If you were to hold the glass by the bowl like you would a tumbler, rather than the stem as you might do with a wine glass, it would be fine and you would never notice the weight. However, if you were walking around at a party, holding a glass of wine while you mingle with others, you likely would notice the weight of the glass. I actually knocked one star off because of the weight alone, as otherwise, these glasses would be perfect - not only for special occasions, but also for daily use. I like that they say they can go in the dishwasher - I am sure they can - but I usually wash stemware by hand, just to be safe and make sure the color stays true.

I got these mostly for the nostalgia of them, as I grew up at a time when everyone had a set like this and that’s what you got your iced tea served in. Not being particularly a fan of amber colored glassware, I figured these would just get displayed for the conversation about childhood they’d evoke. So I was in for quite a surprise when I found that everyone here reaches for these glasses first most of the time. I can’t say if it’s the stem making them easier to hold or what the appeal is, honestly, but even I reach for them first when I’m going for a glass of juice or milk. They seem to be just the right size for that.I won’t be using them for parties or any upscale occasion because the visible seam reveals the less than posh manufacturing process, which is why I also would not get these for a gift. But for everyday use that can be tossed in the dishwasher without worry, these are great.
