We brought these to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) and they worked great as a “chair” for the canoe! It was a good back rest for camping and the canoeing. Lightweight and we even used them to pad the ground a bit over our sleeping pads. Highly recommend!

These are exactly what you'd expect and they work well. Light, comfortable, minimalist. I've been using them for about 6 years.However, I use mine several times a week on average - more regularly than most people - and have never had one last more than a year and a half. Typical lifespan with regular use is about a year.They always fail in exactly the same way. As you can see in the photo, the lower strut or support breaks through stitching, and the chair becomes unusable.This amounts to about 100-150 uses at most before these chairs fail in a predictable way. While most people may use them a few dozen times in total, it is clearly a design flaw. Additional stitching and reinforcement in this area would at least double the chair lifespan.If less than a year, I've been able to get a warranty replacement before, which was good. Otherwise you've got to buy another on your own dime.Without the warranty, these still cost half as much new as another premium brand, and for all I know that one has the same design flaw.I'll continue buying for now at least, but wish they'd reinforce this area.

So easy to store because it folds flat and its super comfy. Highly recommend. I have one in my truck at all times and a couple more in my garage.

Stiff vertical staves are on the sides, so there is no real stiff feel to the back. Is good for just lounging on a solid surface, like on a sailing ship, but does not work well on bleachers. Seat pocket is good. Adjustment straps are OK, and pull across a wide area rather than in one spot. If you have wider area for seat to go, works pretty good. But on bleachers, seat back hangs over back of bleacher and support goes away.
