This beautiful birdbath is easy to assemble, light weight, and very attractive.As written, it hold a lot of water (7 litres) and so you don't have to fill it up too often.If you choose to put it away for the winter, it is easily collapsable and will not take up much space.

I looked through a bazillion bird bath options, the one I had was plastic, and would always fall over form wind or squirrels, but this one had really great reviews so I figured I'd try it. When we opened the box my husband thought it seemed chintzy and would be too light and fall over etc. It hasn't fallen over even once. It's sturdy but still lightweight, holds a lot of water, and is really pretty, I love it! I got a solar fountain to keep the water moving but I have to wonder if it scares the birds as I never see them in the water. It's great tho! I highly recommend it.

Very easy to assemble it and it looks nice. However, the 3 bird figurines which sit on the side of the basin to help attract birds to the bird bath began to rust in less than a week. I live in a location which is NOT a highly corrosive environment, such as at the sea shore. Consequently, I have to conclude that the finish on the birds decoration is really cheap. It is made of iron with only a very thin coat of paint. I have to wonder how long the finish on the whole bird bath will last. The instructions that came with this product says the finish will fade over a period of time. Judging from how quickly the birds decoration began to rust I was thinking I would need to spray a clear acrylic spray to preserve the finish longer. It's kind of ridiculous that a customer should have to do this so soon after receiving new merchandise. So, I contacted Alpine's customer service department and complained. To their credit they were helpful and responsive about it. They ended up sending to me free of charge a can of clear preservative spray (normally $11). I bought a rust remover and some fine sandpaper to try to remove most of the rust prior to using the acrylic spray. Consequently, I give Alpine's customer service 5 stars for their help and advice. However, fixing an almost immediate rust problem is a hassle the customer should not have to deal with so quickly after receiving a brand new item. I've upgraded the overall rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.

(be sure to seal as recommended in the instructions)Absolutely lovely birdbath that would fit into any garden theme. It has stayed erect with the heavy winds and rains from recent storms. There is no peeling or rusting. I did seal the birdbath with two coats of the type of sealant recommended by the manufacturer.The one thing I wasn't ecstatic about was the price. Although the birdbath looks really nice, the prices was excessive in my opinion.

Update: 05/17/2022. It has corroded out in three spots so it leaks. We tried to patch the holes, but so many areas are thin and weak.Original: We love this birdbath. It is light, but solid and well made. Holds 3+ gallons of water. The center area appears to be galvanized with no coating, so it was clean (washed with soap and no residue came off). Birds found it within an hour.
