The spikes are at the wrong angle to grip anything and prevent it from sliding. I had to re bend the tabs to make it better. While doing so, a weld on one of them broke. I made it work, but a little more common sense could have been used during design.

This doesnt put as much shock into the floor as i thought it would, I’m in an apartment and it is absolutely PERFECT for a quiet little practice kit. It fits into a bag (a little bulky but i cant complain) so it plus an extra kick is going to be a game changer on the go.To fill out all the boxes, it seems heavy duty, and it works perfectly. The pad sits a little further back than a bass head would normally, but that has helped me work on intentionally of phrasing.

It's really great and small enough to throw in a laptop bag or backpack and it's fairly lightweight. My only complaint is I've had the pad fall off a few times from th extreme heat of staying in my car. It's nothing more than what a little bit of glue can fix. Otherwise it's fairly quiet but you can hear a little ring from the metal when you strike. Response is decent and it functions very well.I bought mine to use for rehearsal on the road and teaching. It works great for both! Highly recommended for anyone doing the same
