I always sit next to my husband on long flights to rest my head on his shoulder or belly for comfort. This headrest was is like a husband replacement. I used it on an 8-hour flight and will definitely bring it on future long trips. It’s far better than a neck pillow—no neck kinks from sleeping on a shoulder or slouching over the plane’s tray table. However, it's not perfect. The straps on this product are attached to the center rather than positioned near the top and bottom edges. This causes the headrest to sag forward with any weight. Since it’s not fully attached to the seat’s cushion, you end up leaning forward while sleeping, with the eye mask cover acting like a sling to support your face. The bottom flaps on the headrest are also useless and annoying. They’re too thin to provide neck cushioning or support, and I found myself trying to push them aside. They also add unnecessary bulk when packing the headrest.Overall, it’s a great concept, and I’d buy it again if I lost it. However, it needs design improvements to be truly excellent.

I like it! But worth the hassle and cost? I’ll let you know after I fly next month. It goes over the seat so you’re gonna have to stand up and turn around while being squeezed between two other people and what if there’s a TV on the back? IDK.The material is extremely soft and comfortable, and you can adjust it! I got it as a two in one so I don’t need an eye mask and a pillow. But you can’t use this eye mask without using the pillow. I think the most impressive part is that you can actually get it in and out of the bag they give it to you in! I don’t think that’s ever happened before haOverall, I do recommend to try it out for yourself! The material is top notch and the bag is real nice and I genuinely think it’s going to be very comfortable! I just wish the design was different. I think I should’ve looked at the product details more and that’s on me, not on the seller or this product.I forgot to take a picture of the actual product, but this is the bag! AND IT FITS BACK INSIDE.

My review is on first impressions and I will update after I use it this summer.I have a small neck so I have never found neck pillows that actually work for me. I have thought about getting the ones that you lean forward on, but blowing them up seems like such a hassle. I was so excited to find this sleeping mask/ neck support combo. I can't sleep on plane, and my husband can't stay awake. I am so looking forward to getting a few hours of shut eye with this travel pillow, fingers crossed. It is nicely made. Soft material and so is the memory foam. It is adjustable since the eye mask velcros to the neck piece. I am really hoping this is my last travel pillow.Let me put this disclaimer out there too: DO NOT USE THIS IN A MOTOR VEHICLE.If you were to get into an accident, having your head strapped to the headrest can/will cause the force to break your neck.

I haven't really used it (on a flight or long trip), but I can imagine how it will work and, despite the jokes from the kids, I wore it around the house and slept with it (in bed) a few times. The summary of my view is that I really like it... but, it's replacing something that "ain't broke" (normal black-out eye patches and ear plugs). So, it serves a higher purpose (not a major problem for me) in that it is designed to lock into the plane seat and your head so as to keep your head from flopping around (providing lock-in support). If that's something meaningful to you, read on.I'm excited to try it on my next long trip (plane or car as a passenger)... to really give it a go. I'll update over time.It takes a few minutes (and reviewing their promotional video) to really figure out how it fits the conventional airplane seat and the newer ones with adjustable "ear-flap" headrests. But, it is designed to fit either type of seat. At this point, I'm going on faith that attaching it to a seat while everyone is trying to get seated (or, more likely, later when the seat belt sign is off) and then unattaching it at the end of the flight is not too hard. (I'll update once I try it.)Once on your head (I put it on in my home), it is very comfortable and appears to be very well made. No odors I could detect upon opening (or thereafter). I have motorcycle helmets (full face) and it sort of gives me that feeling: an all-encompassing feeling of slight (comfortable) pressure and cushion around my head ears and eyes. I happen to like that but if that's not your thing, then nothing more to see here. I like this product... but might not.EYES: While their eyeshade is very nicely made, contoured, and comfortable, it lacks some of the expansiveness (around the nose in particular) that my best eye shades have. As such, this one blocks (once properly situated) about 95% of the light on my face (whereas my best fabric eyeshades can block 100%). So, very good, but not perfect.EARS: Regarding the ear muffs, they are more like muffs and don't soundproof more than perhaps 10 - 15%. By contrast, my tiny foam ear plugs that aren't much larger than the tip of my finger block out something closer to 85 - 90%. So, these are not designed for sound mitigation.. As such, if I take this product traveling, I definitely plan to still bring my ear plugs (to deaden sound) to wear beneath this unit. So, 4 instead of 5 stars for these reasons: While it is really nice and I plan to use it and enjoy it, at the end of the day, it's a far bulkier, far heavier, more expensive (and less effective) alternative to a really good black-out eyepatch and some ear plugs (that, together, wouldn't weigh more than maybe 6oz and could pack away in small pocket. So, what does this product offer that simple eye-patch and ear plugs don't?All that said, what this product offers that my simple ear plugs and eye patches won't is that embrace of soft (firm but soft) padding around your head. And, this one attaches to the seat so for head bobbers, this might be just what he doctor ordered! AND, it offers a padded sensation of modest (nice) pressure around your head which, for me, helps me sleep. IF you want more darkness from the eyepatch, you'll need to use the velcro to tighten it down. That has the secondary effect of increasing the pressure around the whole head. Again, I like this... but you may not.In summary, I'm excited to try this out on a long flight (none scheduled for a while). But, I will bring my earplugs (to deaden sound beneath the warming/comforting ear muffs they provide and my fabric eyepatch just in case. Now, there's one (possible) design limitation. (Again, I have not tried to attach it to a plane seat.)The velcro on the eye patch is sufficiently modest that I wonder how well it will hold up over time. Currently, it's just out of the box and used only a handful of times (to try it out), but it's still secure. But, I won't be surprised if, after a few long trips, it begins to weaken, requiring a velcro patch to be sewn on. We'll see and look to other more active travelers who are also reviewing this for further insights. All that said, the feeling of being encapsulated in padded warmth with sound and light-limiting (not eliminating) elements to boot is super appealing to me (when on flights, as opposed to when I'm driving)... It's like a portable sensory reduction kit for your head. Very nice. However, at the end of the day, this product is sort of like a luxury item in that it is competing against a simple and very cheap (and very portable/lightweight) but well-designed eye-patch and simple ear plugs So, while I still like this product and am excited to really test it... I would only use it when space/weight is not an issue for my carry-on and/or traveling itinerary. If space/weight is an issue, I'll do quite okay with my old-school eye patch/ear plugs.LAST THING: This might actually be even better for traveling by car than by plane. First, bulk/weight is no issue (even tho this is rather light and packs down). BUT, the head bobbing factor can be rather serious in a car or, even more so, in a shuttle van or bus. Frankly, I'd be more inclined to take this on a road trip than an air trip.I hope this helps.
