I ordered this product in August 2024 and in December the seam on the backrest came apart.Amazon said since it was still within the 1 year timeframe, it is under the Manufacturer's Warranty. I was told to fill out the Warranty form on their website and almost immediately received an email saying they were out of stock of parts and would replace the main tube when available in a few months! The main tube does not have to be replaced. They just need to replace the entire product.

We have purchased several of these Mables over the last 12 years and this is the first one that didn’t even last two months! The quality seems to be going downhill. The ones we had in the past took much more abuse from the kids riding it. This one was barely used and the back will not stay inflated. It was a waste of $400. Very disappointing… they usually last at least two seasons. 😕

The kids loved it. I hated it. It died this weekend and I had a quiet thrill dropping it in the dumpster. I will say it lasted for three years and we are HEAVY lake goers. During that time I had to patch it many times (the big lower bladder) and also sew patches on the outer cover a couple of times. It was a challenge keeping it going but every year I was able to get it back on the water. Why the kids love it:It's like towing a couch. For some kids, they just want to ride. No tricks. It is great for that. Some adults liked riding it that way too. Heck, they'd bring a frosty cold beverage sometimes. Other times the kids wanted thrown off. I have a 250hp on our TriToon which makes that easy to do that sort of tubing. But our previous pontoon was 20' and had a 60hp. With some effort you could get a couple decent spins on it even with that underpowered setup. Why I hated it:Double edge sword, again, it is like towing a couch. It is huge. It is a massive pain to fill. It takes forever to dry. It is seriously heavy, especially when wet. There's nowhere to store it (don't ever stow it in a ski hold, it will take three guys to get it back out). It is a pain to deflate and fold. And you should never put it up wet. Period. But... it also takes UV damage like crazy so drying it in the sun (while your only option) is hard on it. Also, when you dead head (and sometimes even when you don't) it thinks it is a submarine, the nose goes under and the design of the thing will just keep submerging it further. Bigger issue is the design. Where the seams in the lower polymer bladder come together just aren't strong enough. Especially near the corners. I had to patch holes in it frequently. The day it finally died I had just spent two hours re-sewing a patch into the outer cover and traced down and patched three new holes. Got it back in the water, and ten minutes later it ripped completely in half right at about the point where the "A" and "B" in MABLE is - all the way across. The rest of it came off like a sock. Where it ripped was nowhere near where the patch was, so it was just bad stitching. My buddy has the three-seater. I borrowed his after our final blow-out with this thing. Debating whether to buy that next. His is only one less seat but is much easier to manage. The lower bladder is much thinner, it is lighter, dries faster, is easy to fold and stow, etc. The kids even have an easier time getting on it. But I'm concerned about quality. May go with another design next time. Not sure yet but would not recommend this version at all.

I haven't, so far, experienced the quality issues others have, but we've only taken this out twice. The kids love it, as well as the adults. Very smooth ride, as it is like dragging around a queen size mattress. My only complaint is that its impossible to ride it while also driving the boat. It doubles as a great, stable float for the kids to play on while swimming. Its visibility via its sheer size and bright colors also add to its safety while the kids play in the water. And when it is fully inflated, strapped on the back of the boat, being pulled through a campsite to the launch, you can watch other children stop what they are doing and mouth the words "GREAT BIG MABLE" as you drive by. Without a wake tower, I have not been able to pull it in 'chariot' mode. It kept getting swamped. So there is that. But I think most people who buy this probably have a wake tower. Even so, would definitely buy again.
