I've been using this brand water filter for years, changing out every six months like clockwork, and it's the only one I ever use. One, because it's made in the USA, two, because the water coming out tastes delicious, and three, because the price is very reasonable.I refill and empty a large pitcher repeated for five full minutes after I first install the filter, as per instructions, and I've never experienced any kind of off-taste or color; just pure, clean water. I'm concerned when I read of people who flush only a gallon or so, especially when they mention that the water is gray and tastes a little off. Flush a full five minutes, folks!The reward is what I imagine fresh, cool, spring water tastes like; so refreshing!Every Water Sentinel water filter I've had installed easily and removed easily (I've never gotten around to using the O-ring lubricant) and I've never had a leak. I highly recommend this filter.

These work in my Samsung fridge and it saves me about $15 a filter compared to the Samsung filter. It lasts six months. I previewed several replacement filters, and this one screens out the most even though it doesn't screen out everything. Easy to install. I've been using these filters for three years. But whenever it is time to reorder... I still check competitor's prices and review what is filtered out. So far this filter is still at the top of my list when I'm done.

I purchased these as a replacement for the filter that came with the Samsung fridge we bought in early 2011. I was reluctant to purchase an after-market product for something that I really depend on but decided to give it a go. It was a good decision. I have used the product for over a year and a half and have no complaints about the clarity or taste of the water or ice. It does what it states.The only odd thing about this filter replacement is that I have an annoying drip from the cold water dispenser that only disappears after a large volume of water has been run through the system. I don't recall if this occurred when I installed the original Samsung filter but after installation I have to run about 3 gallons of water before it stops dripping. Since this is only an installation issue it doesn't bother me much.Overall a very good product at a very good price. I'm buying another set now.Feb 2017 update. My experience remains good as I have used these filters for five years now. I still run a large volume of water through the filter after installation to eliminate air pockets and dripping from the dispenser. I have noticed a degradation in the water flow rate with the filters purchased in 2015. The documentation states .5gpm but I am closer to half that rate.

When my wife and I bought our refrigerator, she thought it was cool that it had a filter right in the unit that would clean impurities from the water on demand. At least she was excited until she learned how long it lasted and how much it cost to replace. That put an end to the excitement.I had actually been running the filters we were getting from the manufacturer for 2 to3 times the length that they recommended due to the very high cost. Then I discovered these filters and was hooked. These filters work as well, if not better, than the originals and cost a fraction of the price. I cannot tell any degradation in quality. In addition, they fit like they were the original filters.These are a great deal that will save you a lot of money without loss of performance. Highly recommended.
