I purchased these in January, and after 2 months of light use (realistically, only several hours), the needles have taken on substantial damage. The needle tips are all scratched up - the red coating is coming off, and it is leaving a very undesirable rough/sandpaper like texture, which snags my yarn. The base of some needles have easily bent so that screwing on/off cables is more challenging, and moreover, not straight. The cables are difficult to screw on, even with the tightening key they become loose fairly easily. If looking for affordable needles, next time I will at the very least opt for non-coated needles so as to avoid the paint chipping.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this knitting needle set. The interchangeable needles themselves appear to be machined to a fairly high level. The assortment of cables should fit most any use needed and I like that they are quite flexible. Even the carry case is well made so this is a very good value for your money.

I am very pleased with this set of interchangable circular knitting needles. Of course, I havent used them all yet, but the cables seem to attach well, with no sharp edges or rough transitions to snag on the yarn. The tips of the smaller needles are sharp so fine stitches are easy to pick up. The cables are flexible, and easy to attach. I do wish there were instructions with the accessories, I have no idea how to use them!Great set for the money, a really good value and ideal for a beginner/intermediate knitter like myself.

Ok, I bought these as I wanted 'faster' needles... I had a set of the Original Denise Interchangeable needles but since they are plastic, and I tend to mostly knit with acrylics, they tended to slow me down. I was going to spend the money to buy either Chiagoo or Hiya Hiya etc.... but then I saw these. The ratings on them were quite good and at a fraction of the cost, I decided to try them. I LOVE THEM! They are a full set of needles... except very very fine and very very large... 3mm - 10mm iirc. They are anodized aluminum so very light (mine are red but I didn't see the multicoloured one or I would have bought them). I am halfway through a pair of kilt hose, toe up, two at a time... and so far, everything is wonderful. The number on the side has not faded at all... and the only sign of them being used is the anodyzing came off the very tips of the needles, as I tend to rub the tip against the other needle.They are nice and sharp and would be uncomfortable for those who have the bad habit of pushing the needles with fingers... NOT the proper technique but to each their own. They are great for picking up stitches etc. The set comes with 4 cords, that are fine wire cables coated with a plastic cover, a la Chaiogoo... and they swivel in their tips so NO memory whatsoever....The first time putting them together, I tried every cable end in one of the needles to make sure no issues with threading and then every tip was put on a cable to make sure they were all ok... (too many horror stories of others not doing this and finding issues later and not being able to return due to time passing) and there were NO issues...The first time using them... the cable end did loosen from the tip slightly, but I hadn't really twisted too tight as I did not want to chance stripping the threads.. I tightened tighter and have been knitting for over a week and no loosening noted.It comes with 2 tightening keys, 2 connectors to make longer cables but the length of the cables is quite good on their own... I am using the longest on my double sock project and it is MORE than long enough with cord to spare.It comes in a nice red/hot pink case with black piping and a black interior. The ONLY thing I do not like is that inside the case on the side where the smaller needles sizes are, there is a plastic tip guard that runs the length of the spine of the case, but it is stitched in such a way that 2 needles cannot be in their slot AND in the tip guard and lie perfectly straight... so they lean towards the next needle at the tip guard side... and it bugs my OCD on symmetry etc... so those two needles live ABOVE/outside the tip guard.... hahahahaha....All in all, I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a good and less expensive set of circular needles...I'll update IF I find any issues going forward, but from what I see so far... there will not be an update.

I ordered these to replace the cheap generic cables with the hard plastic cord. The cables in this kit look like metal cord which is quite flexible. There is a plastic coating on the cables which gives it a bit of memory, but out of the three hats that I have knitted so far, that has not caused me a problem. The connection is a screw-type which is easy to work with. I have also used the connectors/extenders to switch out a cable mid-project just to see if a different size worked better for me. This worked easily. There are two little 'keys' for tightening and loosening the needle attachment. You don't have to turn really hard to make a secure connection, but they help. I chose to attach one of them to a long piece of yarn connected to the kit itself to make sure I don't lose it. I like that the needles all have the size marked. They are light weight and seem to be a good length for knitting in the round.One slight negative is that when I cast onto needles that I haven't used before, I feel that the yarn doesn't slide very well. However, by the time I have done a guage swatch, the yarn is sliding much better. I'm not a very experienced knitter so may be casting on too tight, but I think the needles need just a little buffing. My husband suggested using 2000 grit sandpaper, but I think this would remove the red coating. I have noticed after three hats that the very tips of the needles have finally lost a little of the red coating, so I suspect that eventually they will just be shiny metal. This doesn't concern me.I find that getting just one cable in or out of the plastic keepers in the kit is a bit finicky, but the alternative would be larger, loose holders that let the cables fall out. These don't fall out. A future improvement would be to have each length of cable a different colour but that would likely increase the cost.The seller delivered quite promptly, in fact early, at Christmas time. The detailed tracking by their shipping company is far more detailed and superior to UPS or local post office. Overall, I feel the price of the product was excellent for the value I am getting from this kit. I'm glad I didn't spend almost triple on one of the name brand products.
