Does exactly what it says. I'm using my B&D 20V Max batteries on a DeWalt 20V Max tool. Saved me all kinds of money not having to buy different batteries. No moving parts to wear out.

Does what it needs to do flawlessly, and is quite sturdy. Obviously, it adds a little extra height to the battery, but no more than what would just feel like a larger battery pack.

Great adapter. Well made. I have a lot of Black and Decker 20v batteries and tools, but recently purchased an awesome cordless power pruner that uses a Dewalt 20v battery. This easily solves the compatibility problem. It works!

I have many black and decker batteries and dewalt tools also. This is great for changing between the two. Fits and locks into tools perfectly.

Turned two batteries into bricks. The adapter did what it advertised, however, I now have two batteries that are damaged and will not charge. At first, I wondered if one of the diodes on the circuit board is bad, or maybe installed backwards.I get a 5K ohm reading between the blades that connect to the battery and between the two outer tool terminals, regardless of polarity. A diode check shows readings in both directions.I'm pretty sure it should be open, at least in one direction, between the battery terminals.I attached a battery to the adapter, and put it on my De Walt drill. It worked fine for a brief test, so I threw it in my toolbox, leaving the 1.5Ah battery connected. I pulled it out about a month later, and the battery was completely dead, and will not accept a charge. The charger indicates a problem with the battery. Since the battery was at least 6 years old, I didn't think much of it. I connected a newer battery that I had recently purchased. Again, it worked fine initially, but a few days later, the battery was completely dead and will not recharge. That was a fairly new 4Ah battery, so I'm kinda bummed about that loss.***UPDATE: Youtube video popped up showing how to recover completely dead battery packs. Just connect two wires (14ga. romex works well) between two outer terminals to the two outer terminals of a charged battery, positive to positive and negative to negative, for 3-5 minutes. They will then take a charge as normal. I was able to get my newer 4Ah battery to take a charge with this method. The 7 year old 2Ah is completely dead though.Ohm test your adapter, both the terminals that connect to the battery and the two outer tool terminals, before using it. I don't know what a proper reading should be, but at least one direction should be open, or the battery will discharge while it is connected to the adapter.I ordered a second adapter, and it has the same readings. These adapters will place a 4mA, 80mW load on the battery the entire time it is connected, even when there is no tool connected.I have another adapter that lets me use De Walt batteries on my Porter Cable tools. That adapter reads open in both directions on all terminals. It has been connected to a battery and tool for months, and the battery is still fully charged.
