I have a 2018 Toyota Prius, and was very disappointed I couldn't get Apple CarPlay when I bought it new. I looked around for a solution. A local retailer was selling one for about $450, with a $600 installation fee, and no return possible. I decided to try this. I'm thrilled with the outcome. The instructions were very clear. My son helped with the installation, he's more adept than I am. He completed it in just about one hour. It works perfectly. I believe my backup camera angle has changed slightly, actually a wider view where I see my license plate (which I don't think was visible before). The screen isn't as clear as my phone, but it's perfectly adequate. It's very easy to switch back to the Toyota software, should I ever wish to do so. It very much looks like it was factory installed. Very satisfied, great value!

This Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto adapter is a game-changer for my Toyota! The setup was super easy, and it connected seamlessly to my Entune 2.0 system without any issues. The wireless functionality is fast and responsive, making my daily drives much more convenient. Audio and call quality are crystal clear, and there’s no noticeable lag. If you want to upgrade your Toyota’s infotainment system, this is definitely worth it!

Overall very happy with the purchase. Can’t beat the price and convenience of this unit. Installed in my 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport. Took all of 15 mins. Hardest part was stuffing all the wires and the box behind the head unit. Seamless integration, but the screen resolution is a little poor, and the sound quality is slightly worse than oem. If they fix those two details I’d gladly pay a little more and give 5 stars. $158 10/10 would recommend

I bought this wireless adapter to modernize my car without the hassle, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Since installing it, the connection is instant and effortless. I’m impressed by how solid the device feels; it hasn’t failed once so far. What I like the most is how easily it connects to my phone, which has completely transformed my driving experience. My car now feels much more modern and practical.

Yes, the adapter works on my 2019 Highlander. Installation was easy, just plug and play, but the problems started after.1. The adapter blue tooth conflicted with the car's one. Toyota software is not the fastest one, but the one on adapter is even slower, so the Toyota's software connects faster to my iPhone and works fine, but then the adapter's one connects and causes the conflicts. I tried to disconnect from the car's bluetooth, but failed.2. Audio quality through the adapter is poor, much worse than through Toyota's software.3. After a couple of days of usage back up camera stopped working through the car software and worked only though the adapter's carplay.4. After disconnecting the adapter, the camera did not get up to original manufacturer's settings and did not turn on when the shifter was on rear gear. I spent a couple of hours on figuring out of how to get back it to normal. The solution was to disconnect the battery cables short connect them with each other, then disconnect and leave the car unplugged to a battery for a couple of minutes - full reset of all the electronics.5. Also, my remote alarm/car door opener stopped working, looks like the adapter interferes with the signal.I returned the adapter. No, I do not recommend this adapter, too risky to use it, who knows how it behaves on a highway.
