It was very simple for my son to install and begin using. It has great features and was exactly what he wanted for his work vehicle.

Ok so let me start by saying your cars display is not built to handle the picture quality your phone or tablet provide. So if you have that preconception in mind that won’t be disappointing. Next I have to say I’m not impressed whatsoever with the drop in sound quality. I have tried other wireless CarPlay devises and none of them are as good as being plugged in, but this one is not great at all, the volume is lower and not as crisp. For reference I’m using it on a 2022 Kia EV6. Others that own this car complain about the sound system on the car itself but personally I’ve been very pleased with the sound system and do ride share and get compliments all the time on how good it sounds. But the quality drops noticeably when using a wireless device, even this more pricy device. My next gripe is it requires some paid service wether it be a hotspot from your cellphone or a SIM card and subscription threw a cell provider. So on top of the price tag of the device itself it’s going to cost you monthly for some data subscription. My cell plan includes 5gb of hotspot data per line per month which doesn’t go very far on a streaming service. The one advantage is it does have 128 GB capacity so if you’re using a streaming service like Netflix or Disney+ that offers the ability to download shows or movies if you plan ahead, I can connect to my home Wi-Fi while parked at the house and download Stuff to watch ahead of time. One of the main reasons I got this was to be able to watch videos while sitting in public public charging station and still be able to use my phone rather than watching videos on my phone and then not being able to do other things at the same time , the problem with public Wi-Fi at someplace like a gas station or other charging areas is your usually parked to Far away from the building to take advantage of any kind of good Wi-Fi signal. Now I know I’m trying to use an iPhone device with an android operating system so maybe android phones work a little more seamlessly with the device. If you are an iPhone user there is definitely a learning curve to get used to the android operating system this runs on. If you’re an android user this is a second screen that you are accustomed to. The plus side is when watching video there isn’t a delay where the audio and video don’t line up and you feel like you’re watching a foreign show dubbed in English. I’ve never had a car with true wireless CarPlay so idk if the loss in audio quality is pretty standard but I would have hoped that with technology like lossless audio with wireless headphones and this device being plugged into the cars audio system that the same tech used for lossless audio wireless headphones could be applied to this device. I am also a paid subscriber both Amazon music and Tidal that support true HD lossless audio so when using those services I’d expect better quality audio. I am not necessarily a true audiophile but I can clearly hear a difference from audio played through this device and my phone being hardwired into the cars wired CarPlay. Over all impression is the device has some positives but idk that I’d necessarily consider it worth the initial cost let alone the additional monthly cost to take full advantage of all it offers. Lastly I wish it had a better transition from the devices operating system back to the cars menu but getting back from the cars menu to the CarPlay device is the same as switching from the car to your wired CarPlay
