This is a very good camera or light stand. It's the perfect height to have the camera sit above most monitors and due to the threaded end, it can be extended even furth with industry standard risers. This is a great stand that is very stable. The base is wide and the "pole" is large. It should be able to handle just about any camera you throw onto it, including things like dslrs or mirrorless cameras. A webcam will be right at home on the ball end they include.Assembly is easy and straight forward. It comes in two or three pieces.

This is a heavy and stable base and monopod for mounting a webcam or action camera or similar video recording device on a relatively permanent basis. It's not really a tripod, since there's only one leg, more of a monopod, but it serves the same purpose.Once assembled, this is heavy enough that you won't be moving this around too much, which makes sense as this is not a portable stand. It holds even heavy webcams securely in place. This is ideal for a creator or streamer who records from a relatively static place, like their desk or other flat surface. You can adjust the height by twisting and tightening the stem, and the ball attachment allows for some angled positioning, but I suspect most users will find the right position for their camera and rarely re-adjust it. If you are serious about using your webcam, this would make a good value for the purchase price of under $30.If you do decide to disassemble this to store when not in use, be careful you don't lose the mounting thread that attaches the monopod to the base. This only comes with the 1/4" - thread connector, so if your device uses something else, you'll need an adapter.

This stand is sturdy and I like it but for my set up, I am used to having my webcam above my head and looking down. This stand just doesn't have that that height. It is sturdy and honestly, the base is almost TOO sturdy and large because I don't need more things taking up more desktop space. It was easy to install and configure and it has a swivel mount head that allows you to angle the camera however you want. The included screw top fits standard camera sizes and was very helpful. I can see me using this to hold cameras and record alternative views if I ever get my setup really going like that. Overall I like this stand.

I needed a camera stand that wouldn't take up as much space as a tripod would on my desk and this unit was perfect. It's very hefty and well-built. Nice heavy metal design. With a weighted bottom plate so it should generally never tip over. It's got the standard camera screw mount on top with an adjustable ball. Free easy setup and dialing in the right angle. It's about the perfect height to set behind a laptop if you want to use it for a web camera. If you're monitors are any bigger it might not reach the right height. Though you could easily raise it with a couple of big books underneath or something if need be. Perfect for a web camera but you could generally hook up almost any type of camera to it and it would feel safe and sturdy. Along with other mountable accessories like microphones or video lights. Pretty darn versatile.
