For starters, the Acer brand has never let me down as far as quality and performance goes. I have a Acer CB242Y as my secondary monitor that has lasted for YEARS and still performs like new. I also tried their XFA 23.8” model that was great as well but I recently upgraded GPUs so I have 2K gaming capability now and decided to stay within the brand family and give this model a shot. Monitor shopping definitely seems to be a gamble, this model I received is excellent. Great color/ picture quality. Frames are fast and smooth. IPS light bleed at the edges exists (you’ll never get an IPS display that doesn’t have it) albeit, very minimally which is nice to see. The size is great for most gaming, like single player immersive story AND competitive PVPs like first / third person shooters.I have not experienced any visual anomalies like dead pixels or flickering. Though I will update my review should anything happen. I also like that this monitor has DP 1.4 connection, idk why it seems like all these gaming monitors are running 1.2. Console players beware, this is a HDMI 2.0 monitor so it may not provide you the latest and greatest performance for gaming through that port.

This is my primary monitor. I got it for a pretty good deal for a 1440p 240hz monitor. You can definitely tell this is a cheaper monitor, however. The settings out of the box are atrocious. You 100% need to tweak them to have a decent monitor. Despite that, it does work well for gaming, which is what I mainly do. The only thing, other than the monitor being a little dim, is that sometimes faster moving objects on dark backgrounds get this weird white trail, which can sometimes be remedied by the settings, but I have found that I have to constantly tweak them to stop the problem.

Finally I have a 2k 240hz for a great price and I love it! I’ve have it for about couple days now and have noticed IPS glow on the bottom. I only notice on loading screens or any low light scenes. It’s not a huge problem but I did spend a fair amount of money on it, it does drive me nuts.I would like to contacted about this situation.(IPS panel monitors, where light bleeds from the edges of the screen, especially noticeable in dark environments or when viewing dark images; this can appear as a white halo around bright areas on the screen. )

Me compré este monitor para poder usarlo también en el PS5 pero me dice que no es compatible para los 120 Hz, alguien sabe por qué? O tengo que comprar un HDMI 4k?

There are hardly any reviews/tests to go by for this model as of now (w2bmiiprx). If you search it on YouTube you get 1 review w/ tests of this monitor by 'Monitors Unboxed' which shows you get what you pay for. FPS games and high frames games this has been great for the week I've had it. The problems are if you intend to play w/ Gsync/Freesync because once the monitor's refresh rate is under around 160 you get hell of reverse ghosting and overshoot. I loved using Gsync for my single player games but now I have it off and just cap the FPS in either half (120), a 3rd (80), or a 4th (60) of my the 240hz and keep my refresh rate at 240. I personally played FPS games with max FPS for 20yrs so screen tearing doesn't bother me but for many it's an issue. I've also seen similar models to these Nitro monitors have a black bleed problem which seems to be fixed but just turning down 'Black Boost' to 3 or less (5 is default).GREAT FOR- High FPS Games w/ no Gsync/Freesync (CS2, OW2, Apex, LoL etc)BAD FOR- Gsync/Freesync UNLESS the game can stay around the 240hz/fps (rare for most single player game maxed out)Hard to score because it comes down to the user. 2 stars if you want to use GSYNC/Freesync and the game's FPS drops under 160fps/hz. 4 stars if you main a competitive high frames game in which you're not gonna use any sync anyhow.

I purchased the 240hz version of this monitor for $230 during a Black Friday sale. Upon setting up the monitor, I immediately noticed a large amount of backlight bleed in the bottom-left and bottom-right corner of the display. Upon comparing this IPS display to 3 VA displays in my possession (2 Dells, 1 HP), I can safely say that none of the VA displays have this issue (at least no where close to this extent).I contacted an Amazon customer support agent who told me that a UPS delivery driver would be by to replace the defective monitor, and that I would receive a confirmation email containing further details. This confirmation email never came, so I decided to reach back out to Amazon who told me that previously mentioned exchange would not be possible and that I would have to ship the monitor back off myself in order to receive a refund. Before returning the monitor and potentially losing the Black Friday discount that I'd purchased it with, I decided to contact Acer directly to see if I could get the display replaced through them. After filling out and submitting a long form needed for the repair of the monitor, I received a confirmation email that included shipping instructions. During my review of the instructions, I determined that not only was Acer was instructing me to pay for shipping, but they also recommended that I purchase *postal insurance* for the defective monitor that I had just purchased a week prior. Upon reviewing my options, I determined that since getting it replaced through Amazon would not be an option, and that getting it replaced through Acer would not be financially viable, I would have to reorder another of the same monitor, and return the defective one for a refund (since at this point it was still the same price). Finally, after going questing to get the defective monitor returned to UPS and get the replacement in my possession, I unboxed and plugged the replacement monitor in. Unfortunately, the replacement monitor had the **exact** same problem as the previous one, and it was immediately noticeable upon powering on the display. I now have the replacement monitor set to be picked up for return tomorrow. I have since looked at the reviews (as well as their pictures) more carefully than I had initially, and I can confidently say that many other reviewers have been experiencing the exact same issue to varying degrees, as well as few other consistent issues. There were even some who posted pictures of defective backlight-bleeding displays who were not even aware of or had not yet identified the issue. The main selling point of an IPS display is that is has a ~180 degree viewing angle, while a VA display doesn't. Yet somehow due to backlight bleed, both of my displays that I've received do not even possess a viewing angle equivalent to a VA display, let alone the 180 degree viewing angle that is listed for the product. Even if I somehow manage to get my hands on a version of this display that actually functions as advertised (as some lucky souls have), there is no way to guarantee that said replacement wouldn't start encountering many of the screen-burn-in or dead-pixel issues that many of the reviewers have encountered a few months after purchase. I can safely say that this experience highlights just how terrible Acer's quality control really is. As a result, I will never be purchasing another Acer monitor ever again. This entire experience has been a huge waste of time and I hope others don't make the same mistake I did.
