A bit spendy but a perfect replacement for the OEM tensioner pulley on a 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood LT1 engine. Easy to install with just two bolts. Got rid of my squeaking and holds the new belt nice and tight.

AC Delco is by far the best option for GM vehicles. This fixed the belt squeal on my ‘96 Impala SS.

This part saved me! I drive a 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS and there was this squeaking noise coming from under the hood. I thought it was my serpentine belt so I sprayed it with Prestone belt dressing and it seem to work some but the noise always came back. I traced the source of the squeaking to the idler pulley and tried to spray it with royal purple. It worked a little but squeak came back. So I took off the idler pulley and tried to grease it and put it back. It didn't work. So I kept taking the pulley apart and gave up after putting it back wrong (loose nut for pulley) and it got damaged. I decided to compare prices with my local stores and amazon. Amazon had my part in stock and at a good price so I quickly ordered it. They also had a different brand part but I went with ac delco because I heard its close to stock oem parts. When The part came in I quickly installed it and problem solved! No more squeaking! The part fit right in perfectly! Very easy fix! I am very happy now. I heard this part needs to be changed often because it wears out. My old part said it was made in Japan. If you have squeaking buy this quality part. I have about 77K miles on my car.
