I have specifically looked for a model with combination lock and compact to fit on my sons electric scooter. That was very easy to fit. Doesn’t have screws or sharp corners to create safety issues. Looks durable. Only problem is that it’s seems like it’s getting a bit loose in the case and starts jumping on bumpy roads. Will try to fix that with a tape or something.

I upgraded my current ebike to the Trek Allant+ 8S few week ago and I am searching for a new lock to secure my bike.After searched on Abus website, some bike shops in New Zealand and I came up with this Abus Bordo Combo 6100 model. Before purchasing, I read all reviews and most buyers mention this lock does not come up with the Velo trap but my bike came with the trap. Perfect fit on my bike.Lock is a bit heavier than I expected but I work very well. Velo trap perfectly fit into the bike frame. I have to fit in this position because of the easy of removal. I like to fit in the vertical frame but I found it hard to remove, then I change to this position.When riding on the bumpy road, there are a little bit noise, I believe it comes from the combination. I will test more and hopefully I am wrong.Overall, this is a good lock, security rating is 9/15 so I will protect your valued bike.Only two minors:- Weight: a bit heavy but provide more secure- A bit noise from the combination (unsure, need more testing)But I still recommend this lock!!!!!

Se siente seguro, es plegable (lo que me permite transportarlo en una mochila) y además trae una funda para poder colocarla en el cuadro de la bicicleta.Eso sí, como es obvio pesa bastante, aunque no lo parezca. El peso adicional lo vas a notar si no estás muy en forma, pero es lo que hay por llevar un candado de este nivel de seguridad.Por longitud llega justo a atravesar mi rueda de 29 por el radio, abrazar una verja y reposar sobre una arista del cuadro, lo cual es perfecto en mi caso porque hace más difícil la tarea al ladrón al no dejarle espacio para maniobrar.Porque esto me ayuda a ganar tiempo si me roban, obliga al caco a hacer ruido y a usar herramientas más fuertes que una simple cizaña.Pero hay que tener en cuenta que te pueden robar igualmente si le dejas a quien la quiera coger tiempo y una zona sin gente.Aconsejo añadir un cable antirrobo para proteger la rueda delantera y el sillín.

Really cool design. My previous cable lock stopped working, and I'm glad it did. When i started to research a replacement, I was shocked at the horror stories I came across for literally all types of bike locks. This is something I never took too seriously, but would be utterly DEVASTATING if I failed to take the proper precautions and lose my precious bike. At this point, it goes beyond sentimental value. Thousands of miles, daily riding... it would be tough.So, I liked the convenience of cable lock, but it is too easily (and more importantly, quickly) snipped with the right tools. A U lock (or a D lock as they call it in Europe) is on the absolute other end of the spectrum. Not convenient, limited in range, heavy, obtrusive...I believe this lock from Abus to be the perfect balance. I am more limited in the circumference of the support I am using, especially if I want to include either the front or back wheel along with the frame. It hasn't been enough of a change to come even close to being an issue.At first, it seems a little strange to use. However, that quickly changed. It is incredibly easy to put this lock on, even easier than a cable with likes to coil back in place. Just hold the lock housing with the combination facing you, the links literally do the rest with minimal fuss.The best part of this package is the slim profile and holster. It is completely out of the way, no impacts to wind drag if placed properly. I use the velcro straps to secure it to the seat post where the 2nd water bottle would be. I thought about mounting, but I wanted the option of quickly moving the lock to a different bike.Really glad I chose this lock. Perfect balance of security, convenience, weight, minimalism... I thought about going with the 6500 but I imagine it would be too heavy, would be wider and therefore likely stick out beyond the frame of the bike slightly. I am not in a bad city for bike thefts, so I didn't think sacrificing weight, size and the extra cash was worth it. Your circumstances may vary.
