Never never never going back to tie-top trash bags after meeting Hippo Sak. I really despise trash duty, but these bags genuinely make it much more tolerable. They’re really durable and have withheld some abuse & overstuffing. They have a big capacity yet are slim enough to fit down our building’s trash chute without any shoving, and the wide handle design is so comfortable & useful, very easy to tie. Expensive, but I’m glad they have multiple eco-friendly options — makes me feel better about the purchase. The plant-based ones aren’t as translucent as a standard white trash bag, but you can definitely see more contents than you would in a black one or the ocean plastic version (pretty sure that one is more opaque!).Love them. Switched from E’s choice after too many bag tops broke.

These bags are strong & they are easy to use. No leaks and no tears seem to happen with all my crumpled junk inside them. I've used then for years & they are still the Best. Plant based, Eco friendly, easy to use handles. I love these bags.

I hate plastic like seriously you have no idea. So to be able to buy a trash bag that is plant-based is really great. And they are strong and roomy and the handles make for easy-lifting and easy-tying. So glad this option is available now, a non-plastic bag. I only wish they were compostable and biodegradable. It says 'recyclable' but no one -- or almost no one -- recycles used trash bags.

I did not expect to like these, but I really appreciated the fact that they're made from post-consumer recyclables. Even with the high reviews, I've been so accustomed to the drawstring bags which suck, name brand or not, that I didn't think there was another "way".Well, I'm a believer now. Handles are THE WAY. These bags feel thicker, and stronger, are super easy to tie off, rarely rip (I blame myself for the one that did), they're easy to insert into the bin and pull out. I don't miss the stretch feature of some of the other bags, and I'm never afraid of these ripping. The only "meh" thing is the perforation, where the handles meet the bottom of the next bag on the roll. If these bags were to fail anywhere it would be at that spot, so I'm extra careful to locate and follow the perforation to get my next bag. They fit a 13 gallon rectangular bin perfectly without a struggle, and they sit well at the rim, zero movement. Whereas the hefty, glad, etc. drawstring bags were stretched to the max and 80% of the time I would rip them putting them on. And I never got so angry as when I had to take them out. ALWAYS RIPPED! 😠 Or they would somehow sink into the bin?? But how??I've used these for trash, transporting heavy clothing for donation, often jam packed. Once you double-tie those handles, you can toss the bags merrily on their way.Final side note, the silver toned ones are quite neat looking. I bought a single box to tide me over until the subscribe and save shipment. Wish those came in bulk! Shineyyyyy.

These fit, are better for the environment, and I’ve had no leak issues! Would buy again!
