I'll start by saying, i didn't really expect these to be great for horses, despite it saying "horse" in the title. So I wasn't set on super sturdy high quality poles. I was just hoping for something that stays on the ground okay and is tall enough to move around, not over, from horseback. Overall, these will do. I'm not super stoked on quality, even if I was using them for actual sports performance, speed and agility stuff, but I think the benefits outweigh that. It's really, really handy they break down and fit completely in the provided carrying bag. That's great for storage, as well as convenience moving place to place. The base pieces are a decent weight that they shouldn't move just by bumping it, however these will go flying in a strong-ish wind for sure. The plastic poles are just basic plastic pieces that stick together. Not super sturdy plastic, but again, it'll do. All in all, im glad I got these. They're convenient, but just keep in mind not super heavy duty.

As a soccer coach I own quite a few agility poles and have seen a wide range of quality available.I would say this set is right down the middle, a lot to like and a couple things I love.The OK:These are on the thinner side of what Ive seen and offer quite a bit of flex. This comes in handy when pushing in the connecting pieces which just barely fit into the tubes. From my experience this may effect the longevity of the poles if kids are rough with them or if you're careless about assembly and storage.The Great:The poles fit very snugly into the quality manufactured weighted bases. This is so key! You want to be able to move them around by holding the poles when using them on the pitch. I've owned sets where the base was loose and would fall off landing on your foot.The whole set breaks down into a compact storage bag that will fit in the corner of your coaching cart.You should know:The rubber of the base have a very strong smell. You should let them air out for a while and avoid storing them in a hot trunk.This is a solid choice if you need agility poles for turf or grass and don't want to spend the extra $$$ to buy a very high quality that will be sturdier but won't get as compact.
