Great addition to our Hape train sets. I've always felt the Hape ones were missing a few key pieces to allow you to connect a full loop. This set comes with multiple of those pieces, meaning male to male connectors and female to female connectors. The quality of the wood routing is not as nice as the Hape ones, naturally based on their price, but totally worth it still. Maybe you will find one or two in the box which have a poor edge but it's really expanded our train building capabilities and my son loves it.

Our 3 yr old grandson requested and was beyond thrilled to get all these additional track pieces! Even though he already has a substantial amount of train paraphernalia, he always wants more tracks to construct his meandering routes all through his house!

My grandson loves that I can make, on his demand, many different layouts. I like a challenge, especially when I can make a layout where I know every piece of track is used without having to redirect the train when its running on batteries or remotely. The one shown uses a couple of Y pieces included in a different set, but it's still a good example.
