Besides a good grinder for your beans, this distribution/tamper combo is everything you need for a perfect/consistent espresso shot. Can't beat the price either, it is the best price among competitors.

Very nice product. The weight of the product is quite better than the included tamper of my espresso machine. Highly recommmend this.

This is a great Tamper...the weight is incredibly nice to hold and use and you feel like you're using a well-made and durable product. Few accessories with it are nice as well, although won't use the storage case as who wants to store and retrieve everyday. Well made. Well Done.

I bought this distribution/tamper combo in a package with the portafilter simply due to the price, but I am pleasantly surprised with the quality. The combo is heavy and fits the basket much better than the stock tamper. Easy to adjust and add consistency to my workflow. If I had to say anything negative it is that coffee can get stuck in the threads but that is likely true with other brands as well. It is no big deal and doesn't bother me.As for the portafilter. I am not sure if the handle is treated wood, resin filled, or something compressed but it feels nice in hand. I mean to say that it does have a bit of a plasticky feel for being wood. I know some might not like that, I don't mind. It seems to be well made. The part of the portafilter where the basket goes feels nice, is smooth and the ears are clean with no burrs or raised edges. Fits into the group of my Bambino Plus well (a smidge looser than the stock portafilter). The basket itself is nice quality too and requires a finer grind than the stock basket from Breville. I use it on the daily and am happy that I decided to buy it.All in all, I am glad I went with this package. For the price you'd normally only be able to get one tool or the other. I feel both tools help me make better coffee and seem pretty well built. I cannot tell you have they compare to much more expensive items but if you get one like mine, I think you will be happy.
