The thread is loose. I like the Alize brand more for thread quality dk. The colors are vibrant though.

Great yarn for clothing. Just the right feel. Soft without being fuzzy. I got great stitch definition with these fingerless gloves. Love the color. It matched the site totally.

Delivery on this item was fast, it came exactly when it was supposed to. Colour matches the image on the computer very closely. Although I didn't have time to actually work with it yet, I am very happy with this item. Started a sample, and it handles very well. Looking forward to working with it on my project.

I like this yarn.. it is definitely soft.. but it was a little thinner than I imagined it would be. All in all though, it knits and crochets well.. doesn't snag or come apart.. and it is soft to the touch.

EDITS BELOW REGARDING SOFTNESS AND SPLITS:Love this yarn. I am a fan of cotton because of the way you get such excellent stitch detail from it for crochet projects. I am working on a multi-toned blanket using this yarn, and even as I am working on it people are very complimentary. The colors on this yarn (I have five different colors) are wonderful and deep.I am not experiencing a lot of issues with splitting or other challenges you sometimes have with cotton thread. The wind is tight and works well with my hook.I will happily use this product again.SOFTNESS/SPLITSWorking with cotton can be a frustrating experience if you're used to using acrylic yarns. Because of the nature of the material, the woven threads are finer and are prone to splitting if you're not used to working with them. Make sure you have the right sized hook and then practice practice practice. The rewards are worth it: the stitch definition and heft you get with cotton is astounding. I find that this brand is much easier to work with than some of the others I've used over the years... the strands have a nice twist which resists splitting. As for softness, think of your favorite pair of jeans. Use and washing are the keys to softening cotton. You certainly wouldn't want the material to be too soft from the outset. A certain amount of stiffness helps create those perfect stitches. Don't worry - your project will soften up the way you hope, and over time will grow even softer.
