What it is: 5 pack of 9” long black panel mount and bulkhead weatherproof CAT6 connectors. Designed for 3/4” holes, and includes weatherproof screw cap with tether and green silicone seal, panel mount nut, green silicone panel o-ring, CAT6 shielded plug and jack, CAT6a cable.Why I like it: First, the mounting pictures on the ad are incorrect. To get a weatherproof seal on the panel or bulkhead, the seal should go on first behind the panel (4th pic, green line represents panel or box), then insert jack through panel, then install cap lanyard, then install the nut. The cap has its own seal.These are great for emergency vehicles, industrial enclosures, Poe cameras and access points, and network cabinet pass-throughs, lightening arrestors. To take full advantage of the shielding/grounding, make sure you’re connecting this with shielded patch cables, jacks, and plugs, patch panels, and that your rack is grounded as well. Overall, an excellent addition to your cabling infrastructure kit.

I was building a patch panel that's housed inside a metal box. I needed a good way to get my main lines into the box without loosing or compromising the weatherproof of the box. These did their job, I can mount them outside and plug into it while still keeping my switches, routers, etc on the inside connected to the RJ 45 pigtail coming from the plug.Works great and would buy again and again if I need something for this type of project again.
