These are some type of stainless steel coated coins. Obviously you're not buying solid gold coins for $35 lol like any stainless remember to not engrave back over the powder created as it'll permanently discolor the surface. An air assist or air blast helps a lot with this, or ensuring you don't burn anywhere you don't plan to entirely remove the coating.

These are some kind of alloy (with zinc, maybe?) and are mostly worthless for laser engraving. I can’t get consistent or quality results because the material changes between the surface and interior.
