I'm glad I found these trigger snap hooks in black. I've used this type of snap hooks with my crafts for years but had not found black ones that had black paint/coating to last. The black paint holds up well to wear on these. I'm happy with these hooks and will buy more.

I use them for my handmade dog collars and leashes I sell on Etsy - MaDogDesignsCo!They are very durable and come in great quality.Finding these lobster clasps in this size and in black color have been challenging to me. I am super grateful they have them available on Amazon!I hope they keep having them in stock. New color additions would be amazing if possible, other than just black and silver.

On our farm, we use a lot rope and canvas straps with the animals for restraints, gates, or roping off areas. These snaps are the right size for small stock animals and our medium sized dogs. They are over 2 inches yet nice and strong to do the job. The swivel feature is great for preventing entanglement with the ropes. It was easy to knot up the rope for leads. Then, inch wide canvas straps were sewn into the hoop for a nice strong permanent hold. The snap ends were easy to connect to hook eyes placed around the barns and outside fencing. I have had no issues with these and they are a great product!

I thought these were going to be flimsy, but NOPE. These puppies are definitely heavy-duty. I was going to use them on some light weight zip bags, but that feels like a waste. So now I'm planning to use them on backpacks instead.

If you have low demands these are perfectly adequate clips. We did a test and the metal failed (at the swivel) with about one hundred pounds of force. A medium size dog running can easily apply that much force, so we aren't going to use these for DIY leashes as planned, but they'd be fine for small animals, purse straps, etc. Four stars.
