I bought this for my 2 YO grandson that will not hold my hand. It works great. I was able to get him to wear it by telling him the monkey needs to ride on his back.

Do you have a toddler who is a runner? Does this kiddo also like to take off all articles of clothing while your back is turned before they commence their run? If even the first part describes your little one, then buy this today.I don't care anymore if I get mom shamed by other moms who have perfect angels. Listen, my first one was overly cautious and afraid to lose sight of me. This second kiddo? Yeah, she Does Not Care and fearlessly sprints down our driveway towards the road. This backpack is cute, she likes to wear it even around the house and the tail/leash ensures her safety. I only wish I'd bought this sooner! The backpack doesn't hold much, but if your toddler likes collecting rocks, twigs and flowers in their walks, it will hold a couple of small items. If nothing else, an air tag could be placed inside for extra security. You just never know when you have a runner.

Needed a larger-sized harness for my 7-year-old special needs grandson. This was the only one that was big enough. Adjustable straps fit a wide range of sizes - he still has room to grow in it! Very, very sturdy. He pulls with a lot of force, and it has held up great. "Tail" strap is long enough to give him room to explore, but I can quickly wrap it up around my wrist if I need to "reel him in", and it doesn't cut into my hand/wrist. Comfy and soft for both of us. Highly recommend.

This little guy is a life saver, it keeps me at ease as I hold my toddlers hand. Only thing that keeps me from letting him walk on his own without my hand is the plastic buckle that attaches the monkey tail to the bottom of the clip. It feels as if it could break at any moment with a hard force. Seeing as toddlers are mini hulks in regards to their strength it's worrisome to just let him go and walk on his own without holding my hand. At least it prevents him from sprinting or running at full speed away from us at any given moment, thus saving me from mini heart attacks every time we go outside.
