Works perfectly and was easy install using some youtube tutorials for a chevy trax. Don't use a metal pick to do it. Amazon has some plastic body picks. Fixed my problem with the original one not working anymore!

The product description says this is compatible with my 2018 Equinox, and it did fit in the port and connected to the wires. It also worked well to charge my phone, BUT it is not a true replacement for the OEM part. Unfortunately it does not work with Apple CarPlay. I thought I was somehow messing something up in trying to get connected to CarPlay and couldn’t find any help in the car manual or online so I messaged the seller through Amazon. To their credit they responded promptly and they were very courteous in explaining that this part was an earlier version and not CarPlay compatible. They offered a partial refund if I kept the part and I would have accepted if CarPlay wasn’t the reason I need to replace the original part that failed. Great as a charger if that’s all you need, but unfortunately not helpful for hands free connectivity I’ve returned it.
