Tricky job taking the tv apart...but once you succeed , the rest is easy...

Went to turn on the 11year old LG 47LN5400 TV, and it briefly flashed a subtle light, then a dark screen. After watching a couple YouTube videos on possible causes, I tested the power supply. It was good. Then continued disassembling until I got to the LED strings. Using a 24VDC supply, I found a burned out LED in most of the strings, but one string was completely out.Rather than try to replace any individual ones, these inexpensive strings were a drop in replacement. Just slowly lift up the end of the string that's furthest from the circuit board. The adhesive will give way. Gently pull away from the connecting circuit board. Line the new ones up, peel the backing tape, and press them in place. Reassemble the TV.So glad I spent less than $30 and an hour of time to repair instead of buying a new TV.

Perfect fit. Been operating now for about 10 hours and working great. I added pictures showing the original failed LED strips next to the new ones. Another pic of the new ones installed. And a 3rd pic of one of the failed LED strips, that one with two out of the four LEDs failed.I used youtube videos to help in the installation. Would recommend this seller and product. Thanks

Turns out I had 1 single LED out. Watched some youtube videos, & it was simple. Worst part was unplugging the bands (2) that connect the black screen to the board. The black clips pop up to release. And easier to do the back of the TV side & NOT the screen side when putting back together. So fixed a $750.00 TV for 30 bucks, & now have a spare. Thanks
