I was using these to sand end grain cuts from a large log to make cookies and it felt like these could have been more aggressive; the 60 grit did not feel like it was removing as much material as expected. The higher grits were doing fine with more face grain, finishing type sanding. That said, my belt sander was not removing as much material as I thought it would either. The discs so far have held up well, they are lasting at least as long as I would expect before losing material and flaking off at the edges. The holding power to the orbital sander pad is outstanding so far and the grit selection is very good and evenly distributed across grits; I've ordered similar assorted grit sets and received a couple of higher and lower grits with mostly mid-range grits. For under $15 for 100 they seem to be a decent value; thus far I would probably re-order these when needed.

I would say that these sanding discs are exceptional; from their price – less than 14 cents each – to the large assortment of grits – to the tightness and durability of the grit – to the Velcro-like grip on my Craftsman orbital sander – I am pleased.I tested these on a piece of old, very solid, oak that I salvaged from a pallet, a stainless-steel bar, and a piece of copper tubing. (See pictures). On each piece I used the 60, 100, 150, 240, 400, and 600 grits. My intent was to see how each grit interacted with the wood, stainless-steel, and copper. From the pictures included you can see the results.What impressed me the most was the results of the oak wood. Before I began sanding it, it was rough, as you would expect from an old pallet. As I went from the 60 grit to the 600 grit the wood polished to a very smooth, glass-like surface.After testing the discs, I looked at each one to see the amount of wear on the grit and if there were any tears. There was no clogging, no grit missing, and no tears on any of the discs. These discs performed better than “normal” sandpaper discs that I have used in the past – and they are less expensive.I recommend them.

These work well on my craftsman random orbit sander. They have held up well when I have used them so far. I really like the wide variety of grit levels offered. Normally it gets very expensive to get a separate pack of discs for each level of grit required. I would recommend this for anyone with a big sanding project coming up.
