These are great, the colours are bright and they are easy to use. We mounted it on a board hiding the wires to install our sensory room.

I purchased four packs each of both this "DanziX 10 Pack 3ft Portable EL Wire" and the "Esco Lite 2x5 10-pack 1-meter 8 colors". All of these EL wire packs are made in China and based on meter measurements, not feet, so this pack has 10 1-meter strands. Each strand has 39 to 41 inches of glowing EL wire and about 6 inches of black wire with some heat shrink tubing that covers the solder point.I am using these 1-meter EL wires to make art lamps that sit on tables and desks. There is a high-pitched whine that emanates from every battery-pack controller, but that is not a flaw in the product - ALL EL wire controllers have some kind of whine that is emitted by the controller. EL wire must be powered by alternating current (AC), not direct current (DC), power. The electricity from your wall outlet plug provides AC power that is usually converted to DC for most electronics. But EL wire needs AC power, and since batteries provide DC power, the black controller box that changes the EL wire between constant glow, slow-flash, and fast-flash also performs an "inverter" function to convert the batteries' DC power back to AC in order to cause the EL wire to glow. With my four purchased packs of 1-meter EL wire that provided me with 8 controller boxes, I noticed a wide range of whine noise loudness squealing from each controller, ranging from barely audible only if I pressed my ear up to the plastic controller to being audible from 3 feet away. There was probably a 3 to 4 decibel difference in whine noise between my quietest controller boxes and the controllers with the loudest whine. If you tuck the controller box away or you are hiding the controller inside a pocket inside your jacket, you will not hear it. But since my controllers may sit on a desk a few feet away from the seat, I simply cut sections of adhesive-backed neoprene/urethane foam weatherstripping and I lined the entire inside of each controller box lid with the foam insulation. Lining the inside of each controller box with foam effectively muffles the high-pitched squeal that comes from the controller.These EL wires are flexible and you can make some pretty tight curves with them, but I would not make sharp bends to prevent possibly causing sections of the wire to no longer light up.The product description of the ten colors is erroneous. It mentions colors of "red/blue/green/white/pink/purple/orange/yellow/dark red/light green". But the ten colors that you get are red/blue/green/white/pink/purple/orange/yellow/light blue/light green; i.e. instead of the advertised red and dark red, the "dark red" wire is replaced with a light blue wire, which is actually a better variety of colors. When unlit, the light blue wire almost looks white, but then glows light blue. You can see this in the Amazon product photo.All eight packs of both my DanziX and Esco Lite 10-packs of 1-meter EL wire had fully functioning controller boxes and the entire length of each wire glowed properly. There are 1-star reviews scattered amongst all brands of these EL packages where people receive either nonfunctioning controllers or wires that did not light up. Maybe I just got lucky with all eight of my 10-packs or maybe these China-made EL wires have improved their quality control. The controller box and connectors are interchangeable between my DanziX and Esco Lite brands of EL wire and nearly all of the various brands of packaged EL wire on Amazon seem to use the exact same controller, so these controllers are likely all being produced by just one or a few factories in China.

Este producto le use para iluminación de un mueble quedo genial porque es muy flexible y además fácil de poner y quitar no necesita extensiones pero si ocupa pilas de larga duración si lo quieres tener prendido durante mucho tiempo

I wasn't sure what to expect with this product, but it's a ton of fun. The 10-pack gives you an awesome variety of colors, one set is more primary colors and the other set is more electric colors. The wire is quite bendable. It gives off a glow similar to a freshly cracked glow stick, and it seems to work best in a very dark room. There is a slight buzzing to the power supply. If you were in a silent room it would drive me crazy, but if there is any sort of noise you don't notice it.It comes with 3 modes, solid color, strobe, and fast strobe.Really cool product, I'm happy I bought it and I can't wait to try more out.

Troubleshooting steps for lights that flash on and then stop working:(Be sure you remember to add batteries)1. Unhook all light strands.2. Connect 1 light at a time, to test each one individually.3. Identify any lights that do not turn on, set aside.4. Connect 1 broken light at a time, with no other lights connected.5. Turn on, start bending the light part of the wire, starting near the end that is capped. (They are pretty tough, don't worry)6. If you can get it to flicker, try to identify the area you touch to get it on, TURN THE POWER OFF, and cut the rest off.7. Lights will work once you have cut off any bad parts of the light ropes, I assume the tips get damaged during manufacturing or shipping. I had to cut 2 of mine, and 1 of them required cutting only an inch, the other we had to cut half the entire string off. My lights all work now.8. Recap all strands that you messed with, they will shock you if not capped. (Pain similar to a tattoo needle)9. If a strand will not work at all, you can remove it and the good lights will work.10. I started this review with these tips because when mine came not working I checked reviews of different sellers, and it seems to be a common problem which my husband was able to fix so I hope we can help others.I ordered this set, and another from a different seller. This set came with problems that my husband fixed, using the above steps. I am only removing 1 star because he spent an hour getting them to work, but now that they do I will be using them for way more than the halloween costume I bought them for. There is a slight humming sound when the lights are on, it never was loud enough to bother me, and I even wear 1 strand woven into the hood of a sweatshirt. Quality seems inconsistent, I cannot tell a difference between the light sets that were bought from different sellers, but on 1 set the blue is brighter, and on another the orange is brighter. Overall I love them all, and will keep using them. Made for an awesome rainbow/love costume.Attached photo 1 shows my lights after some cutting, you can tell the pink strand ended up far shorter than the rest.Attached photo 2 shows one of the ways I wore these for a halloween party. I didn't have any issues with wearing them, we used medical tape to attach some and wove others into fishnet stockings.
