I got these to keep my fishing rods together and I have mixed feelings about them. I currently use velcro straps - the kind that come with computer equipment for cable management. They work well but they sometimes catch on my clothing. These rod ties wouldn't have that issue.I find these harder to use. The quality is not great. Some of the elastic bands hold great when cinched down but others don't. The gear wheel is likely not consistent, which is why some of the rod ties hold well and others don't.If you cinch these down so the elastic is stretched, sometimes they are hard to undo but I did find its' easier if you pull on the cord then move the keeper toward the rods to undo it. Do not try to force the button down or away from the rods. I ended up fraying the cord when I forced it down.
