Already had a bunch of lower capacity batteries and charger. Bought this item so that I could have a higher capacity battery to run my tools longer and also have a spare charger and the price was right. If it had worked would have been really happy. Anyway, as soon as I got it, checked if there was still a charge on the battery and saw 3 bars. Plugged it into my 12v CXT drill and nothing. Usually with 3 bars the drill would still turn. Put in my lower capacity battery and drill worked normally. So I figured on charging it all the way and test it again. I got the steady green light on the charger but it still had only 3 bars. Tried it on my real Makita charger and still the same. Tried the battery in my drill again and it still nothing. No sign of life. Put in my old real Makita battery and drill worked. Checked the bars one final time on the new battery and still had 3 bars. Who ever makes this must not have much of a testing procedure. Hoping it did not shorten the life on my true Makita charger or drill. Sent it back, too afraid to try another one.
