Hi, I've been using this for 6 months now and it's really good. Hardly any odour and it clumps very well so you don't need to use to much. Upfront it's more money than the supermarket stuff, but you use a lot less, so actually cheaper. I would recommend it. Sprinkle a little of your old cat litter on top just so the cat gets used to the new stuff.

We have tried World's best, Boxie Cat, Pretty Litter, regular store kitty litters and more. This is my favourite and my cat's like it quite well.We have 3 cats in an apartment. So smell is an on going concern (along with hair, but that is another story). This was hands down the best litter at eliminating smell. I also hate it when kitty litter tracks everywhere. This is moderately good for that. Not as good as the crystal kitty litter, but my cats were not a fan of crystal (pretty litter and the like) litter and I found it was heavy and smelly unless replaced way more often than recommended. This is light, smells like wood shavings, clumps well, my cats like using it and it only moderately tracks around. And because it is light it sweeps and vacuums up easily. Also lasts a good amount of time.

This stuff is the best!!!!!!!!I have two indoor cats and one of them is really a big guy. He weighs 18 pounds and he’s not overweight. He’s a beast. My other cat is normal. They both are long haired. Why does any of that matter? WELL LET ME TELL YOU we live in a really small 1 bedroom apartment and there are absolutely zero good places to put our box. At our old house, we kept it in the bathtub of our guest bath. This house, it’s under our dining room table. AND we only have one box! Yeah I know that’s pretty gross but there’s really no better options here and my cats are okay with sharing.This. Litter. Is. Amazing. You’d never be able to tell that we have two cats. This litter is super light weight and it works so well. No weird smell even when it gets wet. Clumps pretty well but I’m not too picky about clumping as long as something works. It is flushable and I have flushed it with no problem. I typically just scoop it into The paper grocery bags I save from shopping and throw it away with the yard waste. This litter lasts a really long time. I use one box a month and scoop daily. I empty the whole litter box about every 2 weeks. That would have been way too long with any other litter that I’ve tried. Which is literally every litter imaginable, natural and clay. This stuff is unscented and has very little dust, if any, which is great since I have asthma. Even the smell of cat pee can make me wheezy but I have no issues with this at all. It’s really light weight. I could throw the whole box across the room if I wanted to. With it being so light, there is some tracking but it’s not too bad at all. Nothing a broom can’t handle. Clay litter was way worse. It also doesn’t stick to my floor, the box, or to my cats fur or paws.I have nothing negative to say about this stuff. Not even anything neutral. 100000% great and worth it.

What would the perfect litter be, for me? Environmentally friendly, non-dusty, easy to scoop, non-tracking. Well, there is no perfect litter for me, but this is the best that I have found so far.- It is environmentally friendly.- It is completely dust-free, as far as I can see (and this is not even the one that is labeled as being dust-free). Dust is the issue that got me looking into alternative litters again recently. (I had been using Precious Cat, because my cats like it, but it is extremely dusty, and I am concerned about the health issues potentially associated with that dust, as well as about the strip-mining that is apparently involved in its production.)- ökocat is easy to scoop, though as noted in other reviews, the clean pieces are large and will not sift easily though a standard litter scoop like clay litter will. But it clumps nicely. The clumps are a bit more delicate than with clumping clay litter, but if scooped gently they hold together perfectly well. Also, my cats are diggers. They like to dig holes to urinate in. With clay litters what this often results in is soggy-bottomed clumps that are more or less cemented to the bottom of the litter box. I have not seen that issue at all with this litter.- Controls odors quite well.- It does track, but less so than the clay litters I've used. There are fewer pieces outside of the box, and I have not found any beyond just outside the door of the room that the litter boxes are in. (With clay litters I find bits of litter in every room of my house.) However, given that the individual pieces of this litter are large and relatively light in color, the tracking that does occur is very obvious in the area near the litter boxes. As for transitioning, it was fairly easy. I have two cats, and two litter boxes. Both cats use both boxes. I got my first box of ökocat when one of the litter boxes was ready for a thorough cleaning, and I did not have any Precious Cat left, so I cleaned the box and filled it with ökocat. One of my cats started using this box the first day, and has favored it ever since. My other cat is more resistant to change, but even he started using the ökocat box sometimes, even before I started adding ökocat to the other box. Now they are both perfectly happy with ökocat.Prior to discovering ökocat, my favorite litter was World's Best. Unfortunately, my cats didn't like it, so my opinion didn't matter. I am so glad to have finally found a litter that we all like!
