While using my Vitamix to make cheese I must have done something wrong because the blade came loose. I was totally shocked and I needed to put it back on. I watched the video and tried but it didn't work. My husband was able to get it back on but he needed the ranch to tighten it. He asked me to look for the rent and I'm glad I found it finally. This worked great! My blender is running very well.

Disassembling an ascent gear blade requires a special tool (or sending your machine back to vitamix). But this did the trick. I'm very glad to have found the tool. I was surprised it wasn't made out of metal, but it did the trick. And it's not like disassembling is something you're going to do monthly. So this is a great solution to a problem that is bound to happen as your vitamix ages.
