Doesn't my table setting look so fresh and vibrant? When I first received the package, I was worried because everything was tangled, but after gently fluffing it up with a hairdryer and a steam dryer, it turned into a beautifully lush grass field! The little animal friends placed here and there make it look like they’re playing on a real grassy meadow, creating a stunning table setting! 😊🌿✨

I got this table runner to add to the table decor for a butterfly-themed birthday party.I’m not as excited about the table runner now that I’ve seen it in person. The grass is long but lays in a specific direction, which leaves a large strip of the black base tarp exposed on one side. I tried fluffing the grass out on part of the mat to change the direction it was running so it would cover the black strip, but it was still pretty visible. You also have to be careful about how you arrange it because there is a lot of space between each grass cluster so it’s not hard to create a gap in the middle. It probably wouldn’t be too obvious from a distance but since my intention was to put it on a table it will be easy to see. I would have preferred the base to be green so it wouldn’t be so obvious.The grass also sheds pretty easily; there were loose strands in the package. Several also came out while I tried to shake it out and make the grass appear fuller, and I only tried to fill out one end of it. The grass bunches have a few different types of strands, including some wispier, curled ones that I think were intended to make it look more full. The variation of color and shape is nice since it is a little more natural-looking, but the base really lets it down.Since it is rolled up, the base material holds a curl initially. Some of the grass also has a bumpy pattern from the roll that will need to be teased/fluffed out. I expect the curl can be addressed by rolling the mat in the opposite direction.The mat is lightweight and I do like the way the grass strands have some variety to them. It looks nice when viewed from a bit of a distance so it should be suitable in those situations. I just need to do a little reevaluating on whether I can make it work for my upcoming party’s setting; I’d been planning to use it as part of the setting for the table with all the snacks but since everyone would be walking right up to it I would be concerned about the visible patches of the base. The shedding also makes it less appealing to use it around food. If I can coax the grass into a nicer shape and completely cover the black strip on the one side, I might incorporate it into the decor for the table where gifts and favors will go.

TERRIBLE quality. Strings of grass clumped in some spots and wouldn’t lay flat where they should’ve laid. Also wouldn’t roll flat. Kept rolling back up.

The "grass" is really long. If you don't want it to look weird after cutting it, you have to make sure you don't just cut through the grass but move it out of the way to just cut the lining. Which isn't too hard because the placement on the lining is actually pretty sparse, but it's still annoying and tedious to get the grass moved out of the way to cut it. If you do cut through any of the grass, it sheds all over. The smell is also really strong upon opening the package, but it fades pretty quickly. Overall I guess it's not bad, but I wouldn't buy it again.
