I had this same thing on my front tree when my grandkids were young. The squirrels stole the eyes over the years. So I took down the rest of it. We have three younger grands now so I was thrilled to see this on Amazon! It’s cute.

It was beautiful but a squirrel kicked it off the tree and it broke

Really cute design. Looks friendly, not scary or odd. Not much room for bird seed and might hold water in the winter... Could use a drainage hole. The picture frame hanger is terrible for outdoor application and the screws are inadequate ...much too short to penetrate even the bark. Mr. Wonderful made some hanging adjustments to improve it's ability to stay on the tree. Despite the drawbacks, it looks great and adds whimsy to the backyard.

My complex does not allow for bird feeders, so this guy was the answer for my "limitations." (Yes, I can prove others have feeders.) He sits on the side of an oak tree that faces my porch, so others don't see him. While I am not fond of the "picture hook band" on the back that you hang on your own nail you hammer into the tree, when the squirrels knock it off the nail, it doesn't break when it hits the ground and I can retrieve it. I have to figure out the answer to that. My only other complaint is that the mouth is SO shallow, that it holds 1-2 tablespoons of seed and ticks off the squirrels....the ducks love what drops. Oh, the birds haven't found it yet. I had to figure out something to "lift" the jaw, but a made a perfect adjustment to him until the designer/manufacturer does.....I went to the Dollar Tree and bought a disposable cupcake tin. I "square-cut" one corner cup....it "molds" perfectly in his lower jaw, you can mold it flat, and now he can hold more and it looks like he has a lower lip. The foil doesn't show because it is silver, he is gray. But, as I said, even though I had to make adjustments, he still gets a 5 Star because of how cute he is. Put the tin somewhere for when you need a replacement...won't be for awhile...use the corner cups as the inside ones won't fit as well.
