They serve the purpose, but, care band-aids. The ends are rolled in only part way leaving a very sharp edge. If you happen to stick you finger in there while fidgeting around you'll likely cut yourself.

These batons look great. But the inside edges are don't rolled enough, making them dangerous. I used these on my elementary PE classes and never thought to check to if the inside fully rolled. 4 students in 2 hours received cuts on their fingers. The kids didn't understand what the cuts came from. Only figured it out when I saw a kid playing with putting his finger inside and then he cut himself.If you're buying these, give your students or athletes a warning. You may want to even use duct tape to cover the sharp edges on the inside.

Within 10 minutes of handing these out to my team we had two kids cut their fingers on sharp inside edges of the baton. Do not buy.
